I know I’ve been away for a while, but I’ve been so busy the past couple of weeks.
It all started with a visit to one of my favorite cities in the US, New Orleans. My Brother, Sister in-law, and Niece moved there over a year ago, so I try to visit as much as I can. I mean who could resist this face.
I have to tell you, if you ever go to New Orleans, Willie Mae’s Restaurant has the best fried chicken I have ever tasted. The crazy thing is that I don’t even like fried chicken, but Willie Mae’s is amazing! It’s not in the nicest part of town, so there is that, but the inside feels like your visiting someone’s grandparents.
After Willie Mae’s we always walk off our food in the French Quarter’s. Back in 2009 it was love at first site for me.
This is my favorite picture of my sister-in-law and Me.
This time, we spent most of day in the French Market.
This market isn’t just about the fresh produce or the New Orleans style cooked food, it’s also about the creative vendors. Check out this eye candy.
Painted Dice or a Fashionable Crab Shells anyone?
It seems I’m not the only one taken back by the beauty.
After a quick trip to the playground…
(My Big Brother and Best Friend)
it was the adults turn to play.
Sadly there were no winners, but we closed our trip with another amazing meal at Copeland’s. I realize now how creepy this meal looks, but crab fingers are one of my new favorite things.
I’m already craving my next visit.
